Human nature, its something that happens to other people not me! Group benefits are great but there is no such thing as a job for life now and they often give people an over inflated senes of security. Last week a government employee gave me chapter and verse of how good the local disability plan was. Turns out its 60% and taxed, they also have to continue to make pension payments based on their full working pay check. Union employee smug on his wonderful drug plan...........reading the small print its capped at $1,750 a year per person. Most years that is fine but insurance is for disasters and in a disaster that wouldnt last long !
