Advisors are holding up the case of a former soldier seeking a mortgage disability payout as yet more indication of the product’s apparent shortcomings.

    He probably got it when he got the mortgage from a bank person that did not have a clue what he or she was doing. With the PTSD he would not have qualified as he was already on disability and he or she should have told him that. A good reason why you should have a personal plan instead of one offered by the banks

    The entire Insurance industry has no clue how to handle mental health or concussion related claims. They will hide behind subjective analysis as Dr. Daniel Amen says we have an entire profession that tries to treat an organ without looking at it. Want to make a claim for PTSD or concussion - lawyer up at the same time you submit the claim form. The insurers have nothing to lose by denying.
