The insurance industry applauds the coming conversation Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne wants to have with Justin Trudeau on enhancing the Canada Pension Plan – but that should include putting the ORPP on hold

It would better to have all employees contribute to their own Group RRSPs and mandate that, or DPSPs, rather than open another pension plan, or poor more money into the CPP. A government pension plan, though another great safety net, consolidates too much capital under one management team. If they mess-up, we all suffer.

    nicki has a good point
also how about us that are soon exiting the workforce? if my company starts in 2019 I will be over 60 and still not have enough for retirement

once again it will benefit the younger group

just like the child tax credit/benefit now befits those with young Kids

But how about the rest of us who had to raise them on our own irregardless of income

that is why we will go into retirement with nothing
