I have involved in Private International Student health insurance for many years. Some provinces have included International students on our public healthcare benefits plans, but it's important that we don't say it doens't cost. The cost of such benefits is just shifted from the private insurance to the Canadian taxpayer. Someone has to pay the bills.

That said, each international student that comes to Canada brings a lot to our economy. Maybe the whole country should get rid of private health plans for Internaitonal Students and market that to get as many as we can.
