Manulife expands options for group claims submissions
Manulife Financial has announced that members of its group benefits plans can now submit any claims, including disability claims, through a new homepage and mobile app.

“The newly designed plan member homepage brings the most important information to the forefront, where plan members can easily and efficiently transact with Manulife in the way they want to,” said Donna Carbell, senior vice president for group benefits at Manulife. “The Manulife Mobile app and new homepage … make the process easier and save members time so they can focus on the things that are important to them.”

Manulife Mobile, which is available for iPhone and Android devices, offers Group Benefits members two sign-in choices: they can enter their username and password, or they can log in using the app’s fingerprint recognition feature. It also lets users submit any group benefit claim, review recent claims and payment information, see their benefit balances, and access their benefits card.

In addition, the app is a useful navigator for plan members. It has features to help them find local healthcare providers, the lowest-cost alternative drugs, and pharmacies where they can get their prescriptions filled for less.

Group Retirement Solution (GRS) plan members also stand to benefit from the Manulife Mobile app. They can check their account balances and investment mix; review their transactions; view all contributions to their plan; see their rates of return; and plan out their finances better using calculators and learning tools.

“Manulife set out to develop a digital experience that not only makes people's lives easier, but also delivers value for plan sponsors,” said Carbell. “This new solution will help maintain a productive workforce and keep their employees happy.”
